Indications/Uses

XIGDUO XR are indicated in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both dapagliflozin and metformin is appropriate for: The treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
The prevention of new or worsening heart failure or cardiovascular death in type 2 diabetes mellitus (see Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions).
The prevention of new or worsening nephropathy (see Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions).
XIGDUO XR are not indicated for use in patients with type 1 diabetes.
